- Open minichat.cam in Safari. When you choose video, allow camera and microphone access if prompted.
- If access was blocked, open Safari’s page menu and find the website settings for minichat.cam. Review Camera and Microphone there.
- Return to the page and retry. If access is still blocked, review Safari permissions in your iPhone settings.
Menu names can vary by software version. For Audio Chat, check microphone access; a camera is not required.

Cam to cam describes a video conversation in which both participants can share their camera and microphone. A built-in phone or laptop camera is usually enough; a separate webcam is optional. The emphasis is on taking part in the conversation, with your own picture and voice. Start a cam to cam conversation
Open the matching screen, allow camera and microphone access when prompted, and check your preview before continuing. Position your camera at eye level and choose a background you are comfortable sharing. You can start matching as a guest without downloading an app. Random video chat introduces you to someone new; who is available can change. When you want to continue privately, check the option shown on screen before accepting it.
Cam to cam on a phone or computer
Use a supported browser directly on your device. On a phone, a stand or steady surface makes it easier to keep the camera still. On a computer, confirm that the selected webcam is the one you intend to use, especially if you have an external display or USB camera. For either setup, face a soft light rather than a bright window. Headphones can help you hear the conversation without feeding sound back into the microphone.
Fix camera, microphone and connection problems
A blocked camera and a slow connection need different fixes. For a permission warning, check the site settings for minichat.cam and your device permissions, then reopen the page. If another app is using the camera, close it before retrying. For frozen video or delayed sound, pause large downloads and check your connection. If the preview works but matching is unavailable, repeated permission changes will not create an available partner. Visit the help center if the issue continues.
Choose what the other person can see
Before you join, look for documents, address labels, screens or other people in the background.
