Text chat with strangers
Text lets you read a message and think before replying, without sharing a camera view. Explore the community, open a profile, and use its message option to enter a conversation. Follow any account prompt shown for messaging; guest access to matching does not promise that every message action is available without an account. Begin with a short greeting and a question about an interest, then give the other person time to respond.
Keep a text conversation comfortable
A good opening leaves room for a reply. Try a simple question about music, a film or how the other person spends a free evening. Avoid sending repeated messages when someone has not answered. Text can be saved or shared, so leave out addresses, passwords and payment details. If a link or request feels suspicious, stop the exchange and use Block or Report rather than moving the conversation elsewhere.
Voice chat without video
When Audio Chat is offered in the message conversation, select that option to start a microphone-only call. Allow microphone access when your browser asks and review any call rate before confirming. This is a separate audio option, so you do not have to turn a video call into a voice call by covering your camera. Availability depends on the conversation and the other person; a voice connection is not guaranteed immediately.
Check your microphone before a voice call
Choose a quiet spot and keep private conversations out of the background. If you use a headset, check that the browser is using its microphone and that its physical mute switch is off. Voice keeps your surroundings out of view, but your voice and what you say can still identify you.
Choose when to move from text to video
A text conversation does not commit either person to a call. If you both want to try video, use the available Video Chat option and check the call details first. Cam to cam chat adds your face and surroundings to the exchange, so look at your preview before continuing. You can keep using the mode you prefer, decline a call or end a conversation without sharing another way to contact you.
Understand the limits of anonymous chat
Anonymous does not mean that the service keeps no records or processes no personal data. The privacy policy explains account, connection, payment and other data handling. One-to-one also describes a conversation format, not a guarantee against screenshots or recording. For unwanted behavior, end the conversation and use the reporting controls. Do I need a camera for text chat?
Text messaging itself does not need camera access. Open a profile and use its message option; follow any account or access prompt shown in the product.
How do I start voice chat without video?
Open a message conversation and choose Audio Chat when that action is available. It starts a microphone-only call. Check microphone permission, the displayed rate and the other person’s availability.
Can I use anonymous chat without registration?
You can start matching without signing up. Messaging, purchases and other actions may show their own account requirements. Anonymous chat does not mean all features are available to a guest.
Does anonymous chat mean there are no records?
No. The service processes data needed to operate its features. Read the privacy policy for the actual practices, and do not assume that messages or calls leave no record.
Can the other person see my profile?
Some account details can be visible to the person you contact. Check your profile before chatting and avoid including personal contact information that you do not want to share.
Does text chat include free voice and video calls?
Do not assume that it does. Matching, messaging and calls are separate actions. The product shows the available options and any rate before you choose a paid call.
